Provides services to address the Health care needs of Secwepemc community members by incorporating traditional and contemporary practices.
Provides a variety of services aimed at achieving healthy individuals and community wellness for the Secwépemc people. Services include:
  • Medical Transportation Program: Provides supplementary benefits intended to ensure that eligible clients have access to medically-required services.
  • Community Wellness and Protection Program: Prevention, identification and control of communicable disease and environmental health issues within the communities. Programs in this cluster include tuberculosis, immunization, human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune deficiency syndrome, communicable disease emergencies, emergencies, and environmental health.
  • Family Connections Program: This program supports the development of the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual wellbeing of all peoples. The members served in this program are prenatal/postnatal mothers, children from birth to 6 years of age, older children including youth, and their families. Services include infant home assessments, provision of cribs, breastfeeding and postpartum support, prenatal supports and pregnancy tests.
  • Home and Community Care Program: Offer a variety of home care and nursing support services including, respite care, personal care, home management services, nursing services, and case management.
  • Mental Health and Addictions Program: Provides addiction prevention, intervention pre-treatment, and treatment referral services for members of T’exelc, Stswecem’c Xget’tem, and Xatśūll.
