Lactation and Breastfeeding Support

Provides breastfeeding support to those experiencing challenges or have questions.
A certified lactation consultant on staff can help with the challenges on a client's breastfeeding journey. The lactation consultant can assist with:
- Excessive weight loss or slow gain in baby
- Painful breasts or nipples
- Plugged ducts, poor latch
- Weaning and other challenges
- Answering questions related to breastfeeding
To make an appointment: Call the Child Development Centre at (250) 392-4481 or Karen Irvine at (250) 392-4481 (ext. 207) to book. Clients can be seen in person at the CDC, at home, or over Zoom.
